gomukh and tapovan
Gomukh and Tapovan treks in Uttaranchal would need permissions from this year: 2008. Permissions will have to be procured from DFO/CWW at Dehradun. Alternatively one may get it in Uttarkashi or Gangotri. Please note that you would not be allowed at any cost without the permissions at the check post. Failing which there may be legal consequences of a fine and imprisonment.
